Brighten a Family 2025

Brightpoint in Bloomington, Illinois is looking for participants to help with their annual holiday program. This program will benefit families in need within Brightpoint’s Central Region.

For over 45 years, the Brighten A Family program has been providing families with assistance during the holiday season. It is a comprehensive program as it provides families with their personal clothing needs as well as a “wish list” item or two. Last year this program helped over 800 people enjoy the holidays.

How You Can Help

Shop for a Family

You would be provided with a list of items for a family to shop for. You’ll purchase new items and deliver them unwrapped to our wrapping center-location to sent with confirmation email.

Donate Most Needed Items

We have some items that of great value to families that we can always use:

Gift cards for gas, or any store cards we can use to help shop for unsponsored families.

Diapers and wipes

Provide a Monetary Donation

Funds raised for the program are combined to provide for families who have not been sponsored. Any excess funds at the end of the season are used throughout the year to help families when there is no other source of funding to help with basic needs. Wrapping Center

Donors are notified of the location of the wrapping center in their email confirmation of matching with a family.

The wrapping center is open November 3-December 10. The hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 8:30 am-5:30 pm. Wednesdays 1:00-5:30 pm.

The wrapping center will be closed on November 11 in observance of Veterans Day, and November 26-28 for Thanksgiving.
