2026 Kids & Cops Doughnut Run – 5K/1 Mile Fun Run

In honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month, Brightpoint and the Granite City Police Department invites you to participate in our race to end child abuse. Proceeds from this event will benefit the programs and services offered by the Southern Region of Brightpoint.
Our 6th Annual Kids & Cops Doughnut Run is a day of fun and awareness, offering both a competitive 5K and non-competitive 1 Mile Walk/Run. The 5K is a great option for those looking for a challenge, but this is also the perfect event for those looking for a fun day out with the family, a walk in a beautiful park, and/or a way to support a good cause. Prior to the race intro at 9am, we will have refreshments, music, kid’s activities, the opportunity to explore first response vehicles, as well as a photo opp with our always awesome mascot, The GIANT Doughnut Man
Photo Disclaimer: There will be a photographer on site capturing pictures of the event. Since this is a public event, we reserve the right to post photos on our social media or agency website. Photos may also be used in promotional materials.
Cancellation: Should we need to cancel due to inclement weather or circumstances beyond our control, registration fee is non-refundable and will become a donation to benefit children in our programs. In the event of last-minute cancellation, we will do our best to notify pre-registrants before their arrival.

$30 – 16 and older
$10 – 6–15 yrs.

Registration
Register for the run now! View the event flyer.
Registration for both 5K & 1 Mile: Registration includes a t-shirt for those who register by April 1st. Refreshments and kids’ activities also included in registration fee. Registration cost is non-refundable.
Registration Deadline: Online registration will be available until April 1st. After this, those interested in attending will need to register on-site the morning of the race, anytime between 8am-9am.
T-Shirts: T-shirts and sizes are guaranteed for those who complete on-line registration on or before April 1st. ANY REGISTRATION AFTER THAT DATE WILL NOT BE GUARANTEEED A T-SHIRT but extra shirts will be provided if available for late registrants on a first come, first serve basis.
Competitive awards: Offered onlyto 5K participants and only those ages 6 & over. Competitive award categories include: Overall male and female, plus medals for the top 2 male and female finishers in each competitive race: 6-9, 10-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
***Runners ages 5 & under are welcome to run in the 5K with their family or be pushed in a stroller but do not qualify for competitive age group awards.
Finisher’s medals: will be available to 5K and Fun Run participants of all ages.

Platinum $1,000 could provide 20 hours of home visits & parental support-Company name or logo in Large prominent lettering on top of Event Banner & on top of back of T-Shirt (Name or logo sent no later than April 1st, 2026), recognition on social media and in runner’s registration packet. The Platinum sponsorship package comes with 10 event tickets.
Gold $750 could provide school clothing for three kids in foster care-Company name or logo in Medium prominent lettering in the middle of Event Banner & middle of back of T-Shirt (Name or logo sent no later than April 1st, 2026), recognition on social media & runner’s registration packet. The Gold sponsorship package comes with 7 event tickets.
Silver $500 could provide 10 hours of life skills counseling for a teen
enrolled in Brightpoint Youth Services- Company name displayed on the lower part of the Event Banner & lower back of T-shirts (Name sent no later than April 1st, 2026),recognition on social media & runner’s registration packet. The Silver sponsorship package comes with 5 event tickets.
Bronze $250 could provide essentials (car seat, diapers, stroller) for an infant in our programs- Company’s name or logo will be used on social media leading up to the event. (Name or logo sent no later than April 1st, 2026). The Bronze sponsorship package comes with 2 event tickets.
