Celebrate the Holidays with Brightpoint

Every November, El Hogar Del Niño holds a Turkey Drive to ensure that each of our 300 families has a full Thanksgiving meal. The Turkey Drive is on November 17 from 3-5:30pm at El Hogar Del Niño (1710 S. Loomis Street, Chicago). Snacks will be provided. Volunteers are needed to help distribute turkeys and grocery bags.

Each year, El Hogar Del Niño collects and distributes age-appropriate toys to each one of our students. From now until December 10, please shop our Amazon Wish List and help bring joy to our students this holiday season!

Brightpoint is so excited to partner with corporations around the holiday season. This year we have several partnerships including: AON, Morgan Stanley and Workday.

• AON has committed to purchasing gifts for the children of the Mitzi Friedheim Center.
• Morgan Stanley employees are fulfilling both wish list gifts as well as making cash donations for some of our Metro Region foster youth and families.
• Each year Workday helps to make gifts where the need is greatest.

The Brighten a Family program (formerly Adopt A Family) has been providing families with assistance during the holiday season for over 40 years. Donors are matched with a child or family and shop for necessities and “wish list” items. Learn more here.

Our Adopt an Angel program starts the first week of October. Contact Michelle Leonard at mleonard@brightpoint.org to be matched with a child.

With your help, we can make the holidays brighter for children and families in Southern Illinois. Sponsor a local family with a monetary/gift card donation that will help the family fulfill their own personalized wish list. Help for the Holidays will begin early November through December 8th.
