Early Start – Parents as Teachers
Brightpoint’s Parents as Teachers in Illinois helps families with infants build positive parenting skills and support healthy child development.
Brightpoint’s Parents as Teachers in Illinois helps families with infants build positive parenting skills and support healthy child development.
Brightpoint’s Parents as Teachers in Illinois gives families guidance during and after pregnancy to improve child health and family well-being, strengthen parenting skills, connect with other parents and access community resources.
Brightpoint’s Parents as Teachers in Illinois also helps families understand developmental milestones, strengthen parent-child relationships and build confidence during the earliest years of a child’s life. Through home visiting, families receive practical support that encourages learning, safety and healthy development. Parents are recognized as their child’s first teachers, and services are designed to help them create strong routines, respond to their child’s needs and build a stable foundation for long-term success.
Low-income Families with Infants
The Early Start program recognizes the unique role of parents as their child’s primary nurturers and advocates. For this reason, parents are active participants in the Early Start program. The program also makes a special effort to encourage and support the role of fathers in parenting activities.
