Early Start – Parents as Teachers
We offer a community-based program to assist families with infants to develop positive parenting skills.
We offer a community-based program to assist families with infants to develop positive parenting skills.
Brightpoint’s Early Start provides family support in a group setting, educating parents on child development, positive discipline techniques and parenting skills. The program also helps transition children into a school setting through a prekindergarten program.
Low-income Families with Infants
The Early Start program recognizes the unique role of parents as their child’s primary nurturers and advocates. For this reason, parents are active participants in the Early Start program. The program also makes a special effort to encourage and support the role of fathers in parenting activities.
Early Start is free of charge and provides a number of services including:
McLean, DeWitt, Piatt, Woodford
