Building the Foundation for a Lifetime of Learning

Opened in early 2007, our Mitzi Freidheim Englewood Child and Family Center is in a state-of-the-art, 32,000 square-foot early learning facility that features a large, centrally located, oval-shaped, two-story play area surrounded by 14 classrooms with eight 0-3 classrooms on the first floor and six 3-5 classrooms on the second floor.

Our Center includes a Learning Lab, Parent Resource Room, home base socialization room and a library for our students to enjoy. Serving nearly 200 children and their families annually, our degree-certified teachers partner with families to promote the growth and development of their children (age 6 weeks to 5). Families can expect low child/staff ratios and consistent communication on their child’s progress as well as healthy breakfasts, lunches and snacks, and a balance of quiet and active play.

What We Provide

We provide community-based programming for families with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers that is designed to enhance the development of very young children and promote healthy family functioning.

Services cover early education and childhood development; medical, dental and mental health; nutrition; and parent education.

Through a balance of active and quiet play, teacher-led and child-initiated activities, and small and large group activities, your child will learn how to problem-solve, manage their emotions, build communication skills, and develop their critical thinking abilities in preparation for the transition to kindergarten.
