Building the Foundation for a Lifetime of Learning

We have a total of 10 specious classrooms, in which 6 of them service children ages 6 weeks-3 years of age and 4 classrooms that service children ages 3-5 years of age. Each of our classrooms offers a variety of experiences to enhance learning, as children explore and learn through play. Furniture and materials are intentionally and carefully selected according to each age group. Classrooms a well maintained, with large windows to make use of natural light as much as possible.

The building is surrounded by beautiful landscapes such as prairies, farms and forest preserve paths that enhance the outdoor experience for the children. In addition, we have two beautiful playgrounds. We also have a large community room that is used year-round as an addition to promote gross motor experience to children, particularly when going outside is not available due to extreme weather. It also serves as a primary location for parent meetings, workshops and other staff and family events.

Who We Serve

Families with children (ages 6 weeks to 5).

Enrollment is based on one or more of the following factors:

  • low-income families receiving TANF, SSI, or SNAP
  • foster care
  • homelessness

Eligibility is determined via questionnaire.

What We Provide

We provide community-based programming for families with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers that is designed to enhance the development of very young children and promote healthy family functioning.

Services cover early education and childhood development; medical, dental and mental health; nutrition; and parent education.

Through a balance of active and quiet play, teacher-led and child-initiated activities, and small and large group activities, your child will learn how to problem-solve, manage their emotions, build communication skills, and develop their critical thinking abilities in preparation for the transition to kindergarten.
