Meeting individual child development needs through home visiting services.
Our Early Childhood Home Visiting program promotes school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children in low-income families all in the comfort of the families’ home. Home Visitors visit the home weekly and work with parents providing education on child development, behavior management, safety, and creating a learning environment.
We offer educational, health, disability, mental wellness, nutrition, and social services to pregnant women and children from 2 weeks to 3 years of age. Educational services are designed to meet the child’s individual interests. Learning experiences are planned in collaboration with parents/caregivers to foster total growth and developmental skills. Children participate in music, art, language, literacy, dramatic play, math, and science.
Families with children (ages 0 to 3), including pregnant women.

We provide community-based programming for families with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers that is designed to enhance the development of very young children, promote healthy prenatal outcomes for pregnant women, and support healthy family functioning. Services cover early education and childhood development; medical, dental and mental health; nutrition; and parent education. Through a balance of active and quiet play, teacher-led and child-initiated activities, and small and large group activities, your child will learn how to problem-solve, manage their emotions, build communication skills, and develop their critical thinking abilities in preparation for the transition to kindergarten.
We offer Spanish services in Cook County (Northwest side of Metro Chicago) through our Viva Home Based Program. Families served by Viva have been affected by major changes and challenges in their lives. Many have immigrated into the United States and are overwhelmed by multiple obstacles and lack support systems. Viva staff collaborates with other social service agencies, creating a network of services for families which enables them to use their strengths to overcome obstacles.
