As Child Welfare Worker Appreciation Month comes to a close, we want to take this time to acknowledge and thank our dedicated child welfare workers. One month isn’t long enough to honor these essential teammates who are continually moving forward to keep children and families thriving. As our EDI committee stated, many of us are feeling a range of emotions from anger, to exhaustion, and fear during these uncertain times. Our child welfare workers are on the front lines everyday – navigating through new challenges related to COVID-19 and the impact of racial injustice on clients and staff’s own families and communities. We’re extremely proud of our staff who are doing whatever it takes to move the needle in strengthening families and protecting children.
Check out this video to hear some of our child welfare leaders talk about the importance of the work, what it means to families and why our teammates deserve our thanks.
