Building the Foundation for a Lifetime of Learning

Established in 1973, our Center is located in a safe, quiet neighborhood. The Center is attached to the Palatine Township building which is one of our community partners. The Township has many services available including food pantry, financial assistance, mobile dental clinic, transportation, veteran services, counseling/therapy and mentoring, and other community outreach programs.

The Community Child Care Center of Palatine Township is the smallest of our programs but provides a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The outside space for children to play is very spacious and provides a lot of space to explore. There is even a wooded area where children love to dig for bugs and investigate nature. Families can expect low child/staff ratios and consistent communication on their child’s progress as well as healthy breakfasts, lunches and snacks, and a balance of quiet and active play.

Who We Serve

We serve families with children (ages 6 weeks to 5).

Enrollment is based on one or more of the following factors:

  • low income families receiving TANF, SSI, or SNAP
  • foster care
  • homelessness

Eligibility is determined via questionnaire.

What We Provide

We provide community-based programming for families with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers that is designed to enhance the development of very young children and promote healthy family functioning.

Services cover early education and childhood development; medical, dental and mental health; nutrition; and parent education.

Through a balance of active and quiet play, teacher-led and child-initiated activities, and small and large group activities, your child will learn how to problem-solve, manage their emotions, build communication skills, and develop their critical thinking abilities in preparation for the transition to kindergarten.
